Haircut, flu and life

Sorry for the silence of the last couple of weeks! It's funny how it felt so busy, yet when I look back, I haven't actually done anything! I think it's the waking up so early and spending all day at work, then getting home late and "winding down"! And to top it off - all the new seasons of TV shows start this month, so we've been having fun trying to watch all the "first" episodes!
Two Fridays ago, I had a haircut and had the colour fixed (finally!) and here's a photo:

It's such a relief being able to leave it down during the day - I've nearly always tied it back in some way. It's taken me a while to get used to it, but I like this haircut and will definitely be going back to that hairdresser!
Work was kinda quiet for a while, but it's definitely picking up this month! I'm enjoying it and learning lots while I'm there!
And then I, mysteriously, managed to get flu last Thursday - I don't remember ever getting sick that quickly! So I came home early on Friday and spent most of the weekend in bed. Thankfully, it helped and I'm feeling much better, though the cough is still hovering.
And onto the weather... It's cooling down and raining this week - I'm still too scared to voice my opinion about it, cos it's only the first week of autumn, not even winter yet!! And these temps are my "usual" winter temps, so I just know I'm going to freeze!!!
That's all the news from here for now! I heard that it snowed in SA - everyone looks like they're having fun playing in the snow! And a good friend had her second kid the other day, so congrats to them!! That's the part I hate - that I miss all these "events"! Not that I'm willing to give up this year in Canada! :)
