I know I've been really bad about updating - sorry about that!
I found out once and for all that I can't extend the work permit that I'm on at the moment, so now it's all steam ahead to get my Schengen visa and get ready to go back to SA. Once there, I'll find a job (hopefully!) and save to immigrate to Canada. Though who knows how long that will take...
February was a quiet month overall - work felt hectic, though I don't think there was anything out of the ordinary!! But it was a fun month - it's fun in general! I like being there - I know I keep saying this, but it's true. It's going to be difficult to say goodbye to everyone.
This first week of March has been busy though! I have to wonder if it's going to last the rest of the month... I've been snowshoeing, curling and barely had any sleep this week - I was thinking of going to a play, but finances are all important now and as I hadn't really made up my mind about it, when I woke up and didn't feel like going, I didn't go!! Very clever... But I have my foreign exchange ready for my visa - I'm just a little unsure of the employment letter that I'm supposed to have. How on earth can I prove that I'm definitely going home?! Like I really want to be stuck in the Netherlands indefinitely...
There are so many things to sort out when I get back home - I'm trying to make a list of it all, but not think about it at the same time. Lovely little conundrum I've stuck myself in... A lot of it has to just wait till I get home but some of it I can only deal with closer to May. In the meantime, I just have to keep saving and hope and pray I can squish all my stuff into 3 suitcases without going over the weight limit. Yikes.
And we are at 2 calendar months until I leave... 8 and a half weeks in actual time! I can't believe I'm at this time already. Wow.
