A Beach-beach

One thing I realised is that this is the longest I've been without going to a beach- ever.
I hadn't realised how important that was to my mental well-being.

And the beaches in the UK are not familiar. Naturally I don't expect something like an Indian Ocean beach, but I figured I needed a sand beach.

Thus I ended up at Swansea. Not a great day for a beach visit but it did wonders for my soul... not to mention, I've apparently been dreaming about the place for years... who knew...

The beach was almost deserted, a lady collecting shells (omg the shells!), someone walking their dog who kept dropping his stick and going back to fetch it.

I sat for a bit, thinking, then played Peace in the Valley. It was good, soothing.

I'm glad I did it and probably will need to make it a habit.
