Music in my life

There are always individual songs that resonate with me. But occasionally there have been whole albums that get me through a stage in my life.

Nickelback's Dark Horse was the first one - that album had a song for every mood I was dealing with that year.

Taylor Swift had a few songs that hit close to home- two in particular just bookended my relationship with my mum. But her album Lover was another that I needed at that time.

Lately, I've been waking up, with specific lyrics running through my head. They definitely set the tone for my day, which is not always a good thing. Some are just too steeped in memories. But there isn't a theme or genre at all.

The latest obsession isn't even recent releases. Mika has a range of songs that are just punching through me at the moment.
I totally blame Ryan Reynolds and Will Ferrell for it... but at the same time, very thankful!

And I kinda feel like each emotion at the moment could just have a song title, because the song fits so perfectly.

I am looking forward to having my music get me through the days again.
