One of my friends describes her dog as her soulmate, which I completely understand but didn't experience myself until Bella.
I adored Lottie and it broke my heart when I lost her, but the connection was different.
Bella has been such an amazing complement to me.
You know how people say "I want to come back as a dog"? Sometimes I feel that she's me returned in dog form.
This unexpected adoption helped me come to terms with losing Dad, Lottie and Loco within 6 months. She's been "mine", for lack of a better word, since we got her- yes, I know she's a spaniel and that's how they attach! 😄
Somehow she is my own personal Toothless which is the most incredible thing for me.
