Little moments

I'm sitting "chatting" with Bella, talking about a "real live bed" waiting for us, and all I can hear in my head is Mum's voice saying "if that's a real live rabbit then I'm the Queen of England"… 

I haven't listened to her read that story in decades but it's recorded so clearly in my memories. Admittedly, it does sometimes get muddled with Dad's accent when he's saying "six little rabbits"! 

I can't remember if I kept the cassettes of her stories- I'm hoping I did. But I'll also only find out when I finally have my own place and can unpack my life again. 

I miss the in-jokes and family memories that don't need explaining. 

I miss you guys so much.
