Well, the weekend was quiet - I ended up sleeping through most of it, surprise, surprise. Monday was difficult in that I couldn't stay awake - and most people seemed to have the Monday blues. It's been glorious weather here (in case anyone was interested!) and the forecast is for HOT weather for the rest of the week. I'm too scared to say that I'm looking forward to winter, because I haven't had to live through an entire winter, so I'm not going to say that I'm looking forward to winter (even though you all know that I came here to escape SA's heat!).
The weekend is still a little unplanned at this stage. Sam and I are going to do the local Maze on Friday night (!!) - I still can't believe I've come halfway round the world to run around in a mielie field... I'll let you know how that goes! (I must admit that I'm looking forward to it!) On Sunday we're going to the PNE (www.pne.ca) for the day - I'd better remember the sunscreen that day. I'm getting so fed up because I keep getting sunburnt every time I turn around - I mean, when was the last time I was tanned?!!! Thankfully, Sam's still more tanned than me - some things never change, thank heavens.
I'm going to try to get to the Aquarium on Saturday, but depends on how things go that day. If I can get started early, I'll go to the Aquarium and wander round Vancouver too - if I end up over-sleeping again, then it'll be delayed - again!
Work is fine - I'm going to miss it when I leave there. I really like it there and the people have all been so amazing to me (and I'm not just saying that!). That's the one part of temping that I definitely don't like. And they've actually asked to see pictures of Lottie (they have no idea, do they?!) - I shall try to restrain myself and not show them all 846 pictures... (I'm not exaggerating - at least, not by much!! Scary, isn't it?!) I have yet to suggest that someone look into the correlation between blindness in dogs and the number of flashes they've had go off in their faces in their lifetime...
I don't think much else is happening at the moment. I keep making lists and notes with my new pens - they're soooo nice! Amazing to write with! (My first thought was "I must get some for Mum" - funny how some things are so ingrained.) And.... I bought a box of crayons - I think I'm the only 26-year old who still gets excited over crayons... And these are the real thing - proper Crayola!! I'm looking forward to using them! Heeeyyyy, maybe if I ask Sam nicely, she'll print some of her drawing for me to colour in.... My very own colouring-in book! (You should've stopped reading 2 paragraphs ago if you're shaking your head at me!) Anyway, I'm having fun! :)
