I do start to get a little worried when it's almost a relief to go back to work! This weekend was so busy - I had fun, but definitely did not get enough sleep (for me!).
I'm having a little issue with getting ordinary photos up on here - they will appear in time.
So Friday was the Meadows Maze - it was fun! After 5 min we decided that it would be too easy following the map, so we just wandered and found the first 3 beacons easily - then we got lost... Half an hour later, we'd had enough and Sam directed us to the last 2 beacons and we finally escaped the maze! After much doubling back - and that was only half of the maze!! The shorter half, nogal! But it was fun! And we were good - we didn't cut through any "walls" where there wasn't already a path! (Sophistry, yes I know :P )
On Saturday I went to Van Dusen Gardens in Vancouver with Sam's parents - it was such a good day. I enjoyed it - lots of photos from there too - I'm dying to get them up on this blog... one day soon! After the gardens, we went to Jericho Beach and had supper on the beach - funny how you just miss the proximity to the ocean. Once in a while, I could smell the salt, so it was "close enough"! It's not like I was mad about the beach back home, but I guess it's different knowing that it's there! ;)
Saturday night, we stayed with a friend of Sam's then went to the PNE on Sunday (some of you will be happy to know that I have FINALLY watched "Breakfast at Tiffany's" - despite having my own copy of it...). The closest thing SA'ns can associate the PNE to is the Royal Show, but this is just so much more!! There are entertainment shows all over the place and the Playland section is like a Spanish funfair! (Cos that's all I have to compare it to!)
It was a good day - worth the exhaustion!! The weekend may have been busy - literally, going from one 'event' to the next - but it was so much fun! These are the times that are making this trip worth it!
However... I got photos today of Lulu. She's grown so much! I've been ok watching videos I've taken of her, and looking at other photos, but these ones made me miss her - I think cos I wasn't there. But she's healthy and my folks are playing with her - and BIG THANK YOU to Amy for being Lottie's play friend!! She really couldn't be anywhere better and seeing how things are here for pets - bringing Lulu to Canada is going to be a huge decision.
