So... 5 October, Sam and I went to see the last pre-season hockey game: Vancouver Canucks vs Anaheim Ducks. It was fantastic!! I loved it and now I want to see more games!!
This is GM place where (as far as I know!) Canucks home games are held:
I took a whole bunch of photos, but I'm only putting a few up cos they're not particularly enthralling!! But I'm still putting them up!
This was during the warm-up. Sam and I have no clue about ice hockey, so we just watched, trying to figure out how the game worked! So the fact that 3 20-minute periods took 3 hours was a bit of a surprise!! :)
And this? This is the 'gift blimp'!! It floats around the stadium dropping (don't start!) gift certificates to the audience.
But this wasn't nearly as fun to watch as the mini-league hockey game - they were soo little!! It must have been really cool for them, cos when they scored a goal, the whole crowd cheered for them!
These are just two photos from during the game the one on the right was a second before the Canucks scored their second goal. They lost the game - 40 seconds into overtime! Started turning into a trend cos they lost the next Sunday game they played, but I'm not too sure how they're doing at the moment. But I think - after a few more games - I might be a fan!! :)
