Thanksgiving weekend

So the Saturday of Thanksgiving weekend, Sam wanted to go to the Aquarium to draw the animals. I got a lift there with her and ended up going to the Aquarium again! It was a bit better, cos it wasn't as jam-packed as it had been the last time I went. (I'm still trying to accept the fact that we voluntarily woke up early on a Saturday morning!! hence this picture:)And now for the Aquarium pictures... :>

The sea lions - who were swimming the exact same route each time. The dolphins did that too. They must get so bored there.
I thought that sea lions were like our seals - apparently not!! (yes, I'm a blonde in disguise, we know this already...)
Or... these are seals and ours are sea lions - I don't know! These are not like the ones I saw in Cape Town, I know that! (ooh, I know something!)


And this is the fu-ugly fish that is in the Tropical Zone - so naturally I had to take a photo of it!! It has these really cool scale patterns, but I didn't find the plaque that explained what it was!













And the beluga!!! I don't know which one this was, but obviously not the newborn! I tried to get a photo of her, but it didn't come out so clearly. The photo on the right is the same whale, but I just liked the dappled effect!


Look!! Jellies!! Of course I had to take a photo! :) Hasn't come out so well, but I wanted to post it.










Then I wandered Stanley Park for a bit and found a flock of geese - I have been trying to get a decent shot of them for my dad since my first visit! I think I can say that I've done that now and hopefully won't be taking anymore random photos of these birds...

And I've spent the last half an hour playing with this post, trying to get it looking right, so I'm taking a break for a while and I'll put more news up next weekend - maybe :)!!
