Last week - not quite out of the blue - my parents went off to Ladybrand to fetch their corgi puppy! Well, my dad's corgi puppy. She is too cute! Little panda-type puppy with stocky little legs. Their tails can't be docked anymore so she has this tail that's half as long as she is.
New noises still startle her, but she has settled in remarkably well - already kicked Lottie out of the basket in the lounge. Though I suspect that it's more because Jelli has realised that she can launch herself off the pillow at Lottie!
Dad's named her Jellicle-Belle. I have my own opinions of that name, but I don't want to confuse the dog, so trying to get used to it. I do still think Lottie was cuter, but she is mine! She has been so very sweet with the puppy. Very patient - and as they're both cheeky corgis, they yap at each other quite happily while playing.
It has been a very long few weeks - major planning and organising for several meetings and Awards Dinner for work. All went off very well - people were very complimentary - hope they were all genuine! But I was happy with how things went. Though I ended up with million apples from the table decorations...
Really looking forward a relatively quiet weekend - but today's only Monday, so I have a few days to get through.
In the meantime, I need to get to work on a writing course I've signed up for. Murphy's Law that it started the week of the meetings and Dinner, but I'm quite excited about doing this course! Holding thumbs...
